OPEN SUNDAY March 13: 1220 Daviswood Drive, McLean,VA 22102

For many buyers, the neighborhood of Summerwood in McLean hits the sweet spot with a great combination of community, elegant homes and convenience for under $2 million.

Summerwood is a neighborhood in McLean (22102) bordered by Spring Hill Road to the East, Lewisville Road to the North, and the more expensive neighborhood of Woodlea Mill to the South.  Most of the homes are brick, were built between 1981 and 1984, and average 4500 – 6000 square feet.  Lot sizes are right around an acre.  The neighborhood is well-manicured and filled with mature trees.

In the past year, 6 homes in Summerwood have sold for prices ranging from $1.385 to $2.2 million.  Currently there is one active listing on the market – 1220 Daviswood Drive, listed by McEnearney Associates at $1,699,000.  See the full tour here.

We love that this 4 BR/4.5 BA house has a screened back porch, one of our favorite things in a house. Plus, it is move in ready – it’s elegant, fresh, has today’s neutral paint colors, great flow, it’s light and bright, has a really big kitchen, a fabulous master suite, and seriously the best kids’ fort we have ever seen.  We will be holding open this home on Sunday, March 13 from 1-4.

The Summerwood neighborhood gets our thumbs up on the walker/jogger/biker scale with enough space to get your work out in without taking your life into your hands, and roads that connect to other walker friendly neigborhoods to allow you to get a few miles in.

We also like that commuter routes are easily accessible – the beltway, Dulles toll road, route 7, route 66 and Tysons are all within a few minutes drive.

Summerwood’s school district is the Spring Hill Elementary, Cooper Middle School and Langley High School triangle.

We’d love to show you this house or help you find another great one!  Give us a call or text. Ginny 571-236-3405; Jennifer 703-851-2255.
